What are ICS Files and How can I use them for Bookings

An ICS file is a calendar file saved in a universal calendar format used by several email and calendar programs, including Microsoft Outlook, Google Calendar, and Apple Calendar. It allows users to share calendar information on the web and over email. ICS files are most often used to send meeting requests to other users, who can import the meeting’s details into their own calendars.

Honeycomb Go allows you to send bookings as attachments (ICS files) in your email notifications. This will allow your customers  to export bookings as ICS file after placing an order.

To activate this feature navigate to My Settings >My Appointments – General. Select the global booking settings tab. Find the following option ‘ SEND BOOKINGS AS ATTACHMENTS (ICS FILES) IN EMAIL NOTIFICATIONS’ and check the check box.

Save your settings once completed.
