How To Create Free Shipping Coupons AND Use Them In Shipping Zones [Requires the Ultimate Plan]

To offer a Free Shipping Coupon, you must first be on the Ultimate Plan.  If you are, go to Delivery (Free Shipping), you must add it to a Shipping Zone, and then you can add it to as many Shipping Zones as you like.

To use this method:

Go to the Online Store menu Item > Select My Coupons

Add a New Coupon

Select Allow Free Shipping

Save

You now have a Free Shipping Coupon you can give to people or use in marketing to increase sales

ADDITIONAL NOTES ON HOW TO USE A FREE SHIPPING COUPON

To enable the use of free shipping coupons in your Online Store you must add it to a Shipping Zone, and then you can add it to as many Shipping Zones as you like.

To do so:

Go to My Settings – Online Store Settings

Choose the Shipping Tab

Select the relevant Shipping Zone, and click on the + icon to add a Shipping Method.

Select Free Shipping from the dropdown

Enter a Title that displays to the customer at the checkout (for example Free Shipping)

Open the dropdown next to Free Shipping Requires.  To Use a FREE SHIPPING COUPON option, you will need to chose one of the following options form the dropdown:

• [Requires the Ultimate Plan] A valid free shipping coupon – A coupon created that enables free shipping
• A minimum order amount OR a coupon [Requires the Ultimate Plan] – Free shipping is available if a minimum amount is spent or the customer has a coupon that offers free shipping
• A minimum order amount AND a coupon [Requires the Ultimate Plan] – Free shipping is offered only if a minimum amount is spent and the customer has a coupon that offers free shipping.

If you use any of the options that need a minimum spend amount, you will need to enter an amount.

Finally, if you’ve selected any of the options that include a minimum spend amount, you can choose to apply this amount rule before or after coupon discounts have been applied (see below NOTES for additional information).

Then Save

ADDITIONAL NOTES REGARDING CONFIGURING FREE SHIPPING COUPONS:

If you are using a Free Shipping Coupon [Requires the Ultimate Plan], you have the option to choose at what point the Minimum Order Total rule is implemented: before or after coupon discounts are applied.

The following example should help explain how it works:  If you have a rule that the minimum order total should be $20, your customer has a product of $25 in the cart, and they also have a coupon that gives $10 off.

• After discount (Unchecked). In this case, the order amount is $25 – $10 = $15. The customer will not get free shipping according to the minimum order amount rule.
• Before discount (Checked). In this case, the order amount is $25 and the $10 discount is ignored. The customer will get free shipping according to the minimum order amount rule. The coupon discount will still be applied.
