How to Customize Labels for your Appointment Product Types on Your Site

To give your appointment product types suitable labels, the first step would be to go to My Settings > My Appointments – General Select the Label and Messages tab. There are various fields mentioned on that page which are editable. The labels that are set on this page are applied to all the products listed on your store. The labels are divided into four sections:

  1. Labels on Product Page
    • Check-in Date: It lets you set the label for start date booking calendar on the Product Page.
    • Check-out Date: It lets you set the label for the end date booking calendar on the Product Page.
    • Select Calendar Icon: It lets you set different icon for calendar.
    • Booking Time: This label is for booking time if your services is an appointment.
    • Choose Time Text: It lets you change the text of the default option of the drop-down list of the time-slots added by you.
    • Fixed Block Drop Down Label: It allows you to change the text of the default option of the drop-down list for your services provided your for multiple days with Fixed Block Booking setting.
    • Label for Booking Price: It lets you set the label to the front of your service price being displayed after the booking details are selected.
  • 2. Labels on order received page and in email notification- Deals with the page when the order is placed and when you receive an email for the order.
    • Check-in Date: Check-in Date label on the order received page and email notification.
    • Check-out Date: Check-out Date label on the order received page and email notification.
    • Booking Time: Booking Time label on the order received page and email notification.
    • ICS File Name : The value set in this field is the name of the ICS file of booking event sent in the attachment in the email.

    3. Labels on Cart and Check-out Page – Deals with the cart and checkout pages.

    • Check-in Date: Check-in Date label on the cart and checkout page.
    • Check-out Date: Check-out Date label on the cart and checkout page.
    • Booking Time: Booking Time label on the cart and checkout page.
  • 4. Text for add to cart button
    • Text for add to cart button: Change text for Add to Cart button on product page.
    • Text for check availability button: Change text for Check Availability button on product page when product requires confirmation.

It is very important to change your labels appropriately because that is how the customer gets cues about the product fields. It allows you to set the right messaging tone for your product.
