How to Add a Date and Fixed Time Multiple Appointment Type

From My Dashboard, Navigate to Appointments> Add/Edit Appointment Types. Click on the Add New Appointment Type Button.

– Enter a Appointment Type Product Name (This is the Title)
– Enter a Description (This will appear on the page when a customer clicks on this appointment type).
– Enter a Summary (This will appear on the page of Products in your Online Shop. Keep this short)

-Add a featured image or Product Gallery

-Select the product Category you would like to display your Booking in.

Go to the Product Data panel, and choose simple product. Enter the Regular Price (The Item’s Normal Price) in the general panel.

Go to the Booking Data Panel that allows you to set up your bookable product. Enable the product type to become a bookable product by clicking the Enable Booking. Now click on the Booking type drop-down and select the booking type as Multiple Date -> Date & Fixed Time.

Under ‘Type of Selection’ you will find two options as the dropdown: Fixed dates and Range based. If you select ‘Fixed dates’, the customers will be able to select a fixed number of multiple dates chosen by you. You can set this number under the option ‘Numbers of dates’.

If you choose ‘Range based’ then the customer will be able to choose multiple dates based on a range that you provide them. You can set this range under the option ‘Set a range’ where you can decide the minimum and the maximum number of dates a customer can choose while making multiple bookings. For example, if you set 3 as your minimum dates and 5 as your maximum dates, then this would allow your customers to choose between 3 to 5 different booking dates.

You will also have the option to do the following:

    • Enable an inline Calendar
    • Purchase without choosing a date: Enables your customers to purchase without choosing a date. Select this option if you want the ADD TO CART button always visible on the product page. Cannot be applied to products that require confirmation.
    • Require Confirmation:  The booking requires  approval/confirmation. Please Note: Payment will not be taken at Checkout
    • Can be Cancelled: When enabled, this allows bookings to be cancelled by customers. Bookings can be cancelled anytime or at some duration before the booking. You can set the duration for required before cancellation will be locked in days/ minutes/ hours.

Once you are happy with your settings, click on the Save Changes button.

Next you will need to add days when the booking type will be available. This can be done from Availability Tab.

Here you can choose which days you wish to enable your multiple bookings, their price on that specific day, and the number of maximum bookings you wish to take on that day.

Under Range Type you will find four options: Custom Range, Specific Dates, Range of Months, and Holidays. If you choose Custom Range you will be able to set your availability based on the custom range you select. You can select the dates for the custom range under From and To options.

If you choose Specific Dates, you will be able to choose specific dates in a year to set your availability. Under From and To tab, you will be able to select the specific dates from the inline calendar. You will also be able to set Max bookings and the Price for them.

If you choose Range of Months, you will be able to set your availability from one month to another.

If you choose the Holidays option, you can choose the dates for which you wish to make the selection unavailable on the booking calendar on the frontend.

You will need to set up each individual times your booking is available. Once you click on ‘Add New Timeslots’, you will be able to select the Weekdays (you can select All days as well), the time period, number of bookings, their Price, Note, and even enable/disable the Global option for it. It is imperative for an appointment system to allow you to specify how much time in advance, the appointment can be booked. This ensures that customers avoid booking a slot for an appointment just a few minutes before the actual timing. This can be added in the Advance Booking Period field. The customer can select a booking date/time slot that is available only after the minimum hours that are entered here. For example, if you need 12 hours advance notice for a booking, enter 12 here.

The Number of Dates to choose field lets you determine the maximum number of days for booking appointments from the present day. It could be set to a month (30 days) or even a year (365 days).

Once you are happy with your set up select Publish and your booking type will become available for purchase.
